NEW 8-COLOUR RMGT INSTALLED BY CMYKHUB
Australia’s biggest trade printer CMYKhub has just installed a new RMGT 970PF-8 at its Brisbane production centre, the press is the first of its kind in the country.
The company says the 8-colour new press will provide “all benefits our trade partners experience from CMYKhub's offset product range, with increased productivity, stock compatibility, improved colour management and quality control.”
The installation enhances CMYKhub's production capacity in Queensland, with Indigo digital, flatbeds and roll-to-roll wide format in Brisbane and Cairns. CMYKhub says this provides trade partners all over the country ultimate speed to market in a geographically large state, where events and tourism are big business.
Dayne Nankervis, CEO of CMYKhub said, “This new inclusion to our offset fleet stamps our commitment to our trade partners in Queensland. We are very excited about the future of print in the Sunshine State. We thank our partners for continued support, patience and understanding throughout this recent period of production interruption.”
The new LED UV offset press, producing CMYKhub’s house sheet size of 880x635mm, with instant drying, is capable of perfecting 15,000 sheets per hour. It replaces the Brisbane site’s RMGT 920, and is the first Installation of RMGT’s new 970 platform in Australia.
Nankervis said, “Bernard Cheong and the team at Cyber have once again taken good care of us with this investment and installation. Our team of Andrew Odlum, Ryan James, Darren Wade and Chad Jobe have also done a fantastic job of managing the install and commission of the press on time with minimal issues.”
The installation continues a long and successful relationship with RMGT, the new press is the fifteenth offset press CMYKhub has bought from Cyber since 2007. It is the fifth 8-colour UV/LED machine. This press compliments the other RMGT’s in New South Wales and Western Australia, along with the Komori in Victoria.
CMYKhub’s fleet of offset presses are calibrated to a CMYK colour chart that is shared with its 5000+ trade partners. The company says this ensures colour consistency “no matter where a reseller’s order is being printed around Australia”.
