RICOH RELEASES NEW INKJET WEB
Ricoh is using the Hunkeler Innovationdays to debut its new Pro VC70000e continuous feed inkjet press, which it says will print on a wider range of stocks, thanks to its inline pre-treatment unit.
The Ricoh Pro VC70000e is an upgraded version of the VC70000, which comes with new production automation tools and business intelligence software.
These include the Automation Suite’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) options which the company says simplify operations, and enable more effective decision making through providing greater feedback for more effective decision-making”.
The Hunkeler InnovationDays runs in Lucerne at the end of the month, it has most of the world digital print systems developers showing their high speed inkjet webs in tandem with inline Hunkeler finishing systems.
The new Pro VC70000e uses a new undercoating technology, which the company says broadens the range of substrates that can be put through the printer and “further improving overall print quality with sharper detail and more vibrant colours.”
All inkjet print systems developed by Ricoh are characterised by the fact that everything is developed by Ricoh; specifically the engine, the printheads, the ink, and the controllers, meaning that there is only one point of contact for all aspects of the print system, and that all parts of the system are developed to operate with all the other parts.
