The videos, which show an animated dragon character, indicate that the Pro Z75 will be based on a brand new platform, will have new innovation, and claim that the “future of digital inkjet is on its way".

According to the videos, the Pro Z75 will use stainless steel Ricoh 1,200dpi piezo printheads with new liquid cooling. It uses aqueous inks.

Launch date for the new Pro Z75 is not yet revealed, but the indications are that it will be quite soon.

Ricoh is the final one of the big four digital cutsheet developers into sheetfed inkjet, although its continuous feed inkjet series Pro VC70000 is one of the market leaders.

Konica Minolta has its B2 AccurioJet, with installs in Australia, Fujifilm Business Innovation and Fujifilm have the B2 JetPress, as well as B3 models not available here, while Canon has the i300 SRA3 inkjet cutsheet printer, and showed the B2 Voyager at drupa five years ago.
