Snap changes chair as Russell retires
Snap Franchising has appointed Anne Cashman as its independent non-executive chair, as long-time incumbent Peter Russell heads for retirement.
Cashman is the Avery Products ANZ managing director, and has served on the Snap board for the past seven years.
“We are delighted with Anne’s appointment as chair of Snap Franchising. Anne has a proven record of driving change in manufacturing and service-based businesses and brings with her a great understanding of franchising,” said CEO of Snap Franchising, Richard Thame.
Paying tribute to Russell, Thame said, “Peter has made an incredible contribution to Snap, overseeing a refocussing of the company’s strategic agenda and working with management to ensure the network is well positioned to grow as the economy returns to work. Everyone at Snap wishes Peter well in his retirement.”
Cashman brings a wealth of experience to the role as chair of Snap, having held senior executive positions within the office products industry in both the USA and Australia for listed and private companies, and has a knowledge of Snap as a business.
“The Covid reopening is a light at the end of the tunnel, after what has been a tough 19 months as the nation has battled Covid, and I am looking forward to working with the board and the Snap management team to provide the support that our franchisees need to get back to business,” said Cashman.
