Aussies gain HP Indigo Inkspiration awards
Peacock Bros, Multi-Color Corp (WA), and QLM Labelmakers all won Special Recognition in the annual HP Indigo Inkspiration awards, and all in the wine and non-alcoholic labels category.
The Inkspiration awards cover the whole of the Asia Pacific and Japan, for work printed on an HP Indigo – supplied here by Currie Group – in two main categories; commercial, and labels and packaging.
Winner of the wine and non-alcoholic label category was a QLM Labelmakers business based in Vietnam, which took out two of the four Grand Winner prizes. Print businesses from eight different countries took out the awards, with Indian, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese printers prevalent.
Edcent Chan, team manager, at the HP Asia Pacific – Centre of Excellence, said, “The HP Inkspiration Awards elevates the playing field of the print industry in Asia Pacific and Japan. It recognises the inspiring work from PSPs across the region, in which customers are becoming more discerning in the innovation, quality and sustainability of consumer products.”
Four printers were announced as Grand Winners in the annual event for showcasing the most inspiring work, elevating brands in the region through innovative, expressive and meaningful experiences. They included Hoang Ha Label Co (QLM Label Makers Vietnam) from Vietnam, which took home two of the four Grand Winner awards.
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s HP Inkspiration Awards saw two new categories, namely Unprecedented Time – Collateral under the Commercial category, and Unprecedented Time – Specialty Print under the Label & Packaging category. The winner for the Unprecedented Time - Collateral award is Shangdong Doc Graphic Digital Printing from China. Special recognitions for Unprecedented Time – Specialty Print, go to Fastrolls Labels from Malaysia, and Hoang Ha Label Co (QLM Label Makers Vietnam) from Vietnam.
Lindsay Nutley, marketing manager from Hoang Ha Label Co (QLM Label Makers Vietnam) said, “It is an honour to receive this special recognition. The HP Indigo Digital Press continues to play an integral role in helping us create innovative print products.
“When Merrin Munroe was looking for a way to connect with clients, she wanted something that was fun, safe and creative, just like her own business. Creating her own customised hand sanitiser labels provided not only a functional product overflowing with personality, but also a practical product that can be used everyday."
