Asga has expanded its suite of online business resources, adding 400 work health and safety (WH&S) documents for members. These include policies, procedures, checklists, and forms designed to assist with compliance and support better business practices.

The newly available resources cover a wide range of topics, including safe work method statements (SWMS), job safety analyses (JSA), emergency planning, and health and safety compliance checklists. Specific tools include motor vehicle logs and meeting agenda templates.

There are over 270 procedural documents addressing the safe use of equipment, such as welding and cutting tools, working at heights, and using safety harnesses.

The expanded resource offering is part of ASGA’s partnership with Advanced Safety Systems Australia (ASSA). Damian Nielsen, member and events manager at ASGA, says the partnership ensures that the documents are regularly updated and expanded.

“Through this collaboration, ASSA has provided a comprehensive and current suite of WH&S resources for ASGA members, all validated to meet current standards,” Nielsen says.

According to Nielsen, ASSA brings extensive experience to the table, having spent decades shaping Australia’s workplace safety sector. Initially specialising in industrial signage, ASSA is now focused on providing compliance solutions that simplify WH&S obligations for businesses.

In addition to the WH&S resources, ASGA members also have access to legal and HR templates provided by Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (ABLA). These templates include employment guides, contractor and employee agreements, and related documents. ABLA also supports members through the ASGA Workplace Advice Line, offering guidance on workplace relations and employment law.

Members can access the new resources by logging into the ASGA website and navigating to the 'Work Health Safety' section.
