Super Creative took out Best in Show, Liberty Signs won the People’s Choice, Cactus Imaging took out Sustainability for its Ecobanner, while Brisbane Signs & Engraving won the most Golds with three, at the Currie Group Asga National Sign & Graphics awards.

The Best in Show award was for the Mecca x Charlotte Tilbury - Leyland Titan job, while Liberty Signs won People’s Choice for the van wrap for Who Gives a Crap loo roll, appropriate given Asga president Mick Harrold’s remarks about plumbing in his opening address.

Harrold made his remarks as part of an opening address where he highlighted the strengths of the sign and display industry, which he said was a $15bn sector, that was essential to the functioning of the country. Harrold said there were 10,000 sign and display print businesses in the country.

Cactus Imaging won its latest Sustainability award for its Ecobanner PVC alternative media, which last month won the World Out-of-Home Sustainability award, with Ecobanner’s architect Nigel Spicer at the Doltone House event to collect the award in person. Cactus also won the Printed Fabrics and Textiles / T-Shirts & Garments gold award.

Brisbane Sign & Engraving, a small shop owned by Andrew Sihto and Alex Christofidelis was the top gold winner, taking out three awards, winning in Engraved Signs, Fabrication - General Signage, and Router Output.
