DMND OPENS TO ON-SHORE APPAREL PRINT
Nick Auditore and Ben Isdale have launched DMND, a new merchandise and apparel print business, which they say will provide advanced decoration solutions to the local market.
Based in Thornbury, Melbourne, the new DMND facility is equipped with what the company says is "best-in-class" equipment, including two automated ROQ screen printing systems and an integrated packing line, capable of finishing 800 garments an hour.
DMND says it has "the most advanced printing lines" in the country, and claims it is Australia’s most advanced merchandise partner. DMND has now also become the local showroom for ROQ, a Portuguese brand of high-end garment printing equipment.
Nick Auditore, managing director of Nick Auditore Represents, a Melbourne-based leader in branded sports merchandise, and Ben Isdale, who has a 25 year track record in screen printing apparel, and was a local Fespa board member for four years, decided to establish DMND (pronounced as diamond) to give an on-shore manufacturing option for their apparel decoration services. The business strategy is to use the latest technology, along with a personalised focus on customer service, to provide a level of responsiveness that is unavailable offshore.
Auditore said, “Our mission is simple: offer top-tier merchandise crafted with cutting edge technology. Having worked within global networks, I understand the thirst for reactivity, and DMND has been built from the ground up to deliver local speed, at globally competitive prices.”
Ben Isdale, DMND’s general manager and manufacturing expert emphasised its strategic advantage. “Operating out of Melbourne with such advanced tech means we can partner with our clients to transform ideas into premium retail-ready apparel quickly.
“Technology is ultimately at the heart of what we do, but it is complimented by craftsmanship. We have pinpointed a specialist team, from customer service through to our art department and production teams, to help us to shape a suite of services that cater to the diverse needs of any client.”
In addition to its ROQ screen printing systems, DMND also uses digital, transfer and embroidery technology, according to the application.
DMND has hit the ground running, and has already turned around merchandise for global sports brands and high-profile projects, including musician Pink’s 2024 Summer Tour.
“From concept development to retail delivery, we ensure a seamless experience, and our track record backs that,” adds Isdale. “We invite any business seeking a merchandise solution to experience the DMND difference firsthand.”
