ENGINE BOOSTS WIDE-FORMAT WITH DNA BUY
Multi-channel communication specialist Engine has acquired sign and display business DNA Media, as the company looks to build on its successful entry into wide-format printing, which began six months ago.

The business is being rebranded into the Engine stable, and will be given a new website enginesigns.com.au.
Scott Allen, CEO of Engine said, “The acquisition was the natural next step for our sign and display operation, which has outperformed expectations since we launched it late last year."
“DNA is strong in commercial signage and the real estate market, the former owners decided to focus on their core activity. It was the right business at the right time for us, it has highly skilled staff, and its CEO Neil Collyer of course is vastly experienced in print.”
Allen, said “DNA is well known for its innovation, quality and commitment to service – an approach echoed by Engine. With an excellent client base, professional staff and an outstanding reputation within the local signage industry, DNA is a perfect match for us.
“Quality signage will become another key pillar of our diversified marketing communications strategy, and the acquisition of DNA Media allows us to further build upon this capability.”
DNA CEO Neil Collyer will come over to Engine, which will also keep all DNA staff and equipment, including its a 3.2m HP latex printer. DNA is located just five minutes away from Engine in Dandenong South, and will remain in the same premises.
Collyer, said “We are delighted to be joining such an innovative business as Engine. It will allow Engine to broaden their reach and strengthen their end-to-end offering, a great outcome for their valued customers and dedicated staff.”
Engine, a division of FanData, works with some of Australia’s iconic brands. Engine provides print, fulfilment, apparel and merchandise, and digital automation, which it tailors to the needs of individual businesses across Australia.
Allen said: “The synergies between our businesses are compelling. Both have a customer-first culture and a pedigree of high performance, and we look forward to promoting our latest service offering as we further broaden the Engine brand.”
