FUJIFILM LAUNCHES NEW DIGITAL WORKFLOW
Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia (FFBI) has launched a new digital workflow, XMF PressReady, for its Revoria presses, but which can also manage the workflow of any digital press with a Fiery rip.
According to Fujifilm, Revoria XMF PressReady, the new digital print workflow automation solution, is particularly suited for dynamic and complex printing requirements.
XMF PressReady is designed to automate the workflow, taking out human touchpoints. It will accept files from multiple sources, including from web-to-print, MIS and direct from customers, prepare them for print and send them to the most appropriate print unit. It can also assess all jobs for their suitability to offset or digital, and will decide which is best for digital.
FFBI has developed a new workflow to enable print businesses to efficiently handle multiple short-run jobs. XMF PrintReady will also take on the colour profiling, the imposition and other tasks that consume time at the press, freeing more production time from the machine.
XMF PressReady provides multiple workflows that can be configured to make production decisions based on size, quantity, media, and page count.
FFBI says Revoria XMF PressReady enables print service providers to automate labour intensive and repetitive tasks by presetting prepress processes with pre-defined conditions, empowering press operators to concentrate on other crucial aspects of the production process, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced manual intervention.
The software can be tailored to suit the specific operations of each customer, allowing for flexible and swift handling of multiple products, small print runs, and with quick turnaround times.
Revoria XMF PressReady allows operators to seamlessly manage both job requests and printers’ status on a unified platform. It facilitates real-time monitoring of a job’s status and maximises print job management efficiencies.
Additionally, by centralising the oversight of each printer, less frequent operator visits and checks are required for individual devices, improving overall work efficiency.
According to FFBI Revoria XMF PressReady integrates “seamlessly” with the well-established Fujifilm Workflow XMF systems, enabling print businesses to effectively manage both offset and digital print production within one workflow, making it “an ideal solution” for those providing hybrid printing services.
