GEOFF SELIG MEMORIAL ON 27 MAY

A memorial event will be held on Monday 27 May to celebrate the life of Geoff Selig, executive chair of IVE, following his sudden passing in Europe two weeks ago.

He will be remembered at Doltone House in Sydney, with the event to start at 12 noon. All who knew him are welcome to attend. Refreshments will follow.

Selig died from complications following an accident in Barcelona. At the time of his passing he was head of the $1bn a year holistic marketing services provider IVE Group, the largest part of which was the biggest print operation in the country.

He built the business twice, the first time transforming his family’s general commercial operation Link Printing into the powerhouse Blue Star Group, then selling it to private equity fund Champ, then buying it back six years later, and floating it on the stock market three years after that.

Since then, turnover has virtually tripled, it has become the main heatset printer in the country, and diversified into other markets, including mailing, sign and display and latterly, folding carton.

Selig was a primary leader of the domestic print industry.
