LATEST PRINT21 ARRIVING ON DESKS
The latest issue of the nation’s favourite print business media, Print21, is out and arriving on the desks of owners and managers around Australia and New Zealand.
Written by the industry’s experienced print business journalists, and as the official media of the VMA, Print21 stands alone in its presentation of credible relevant information to the industry, proving indispensable in these changing times.
The issue now arriving opens by addressing the demand for environmentally-friendly print, with a major feature on substrate merchant Spicers, and particularly the launch of Volume 3 of its Environs sustainable media guide, this one focused on labels and packaging.
The special focus of the issue is sign and display print, a sector which continues to offer opportunities for print businesses of all kinds. The sign and display focus comes in a dedicated 18 page section, which begins with a focus on Engine and its entry into wide-format six months ago, and its recent purchase of DNA, to boost its presence. We also profile the Kwik Kopy Gosford store, which is also investing in sign and display.
The sustainable print theme continues with a profile of Nigel Spicer, GM at Cactus Imaging, and his 16-year journey to develop a green banner media, culminating in the launch this year of the multi-award winning Ecobanner.
Print21 was at wide-format show Visual Impact, and brings a full report on the leading exhibitors at the show, which saw innovation take centre-stage, highlighting the expansion of applications now available.
Finally in the section Print21 visits the sign and display shop with a difference, it is located in one of the country’s prisons. It is intended to give inmates training, qualifications and experience so they can make better choices on the outside, and make a great job of it.
The world’s biggest MIS and W2P developer eProductivity Software has just held its annual Connect conference, in Las Vegas, Print21 editor Wayne Robinson was invited and files a special report into an event that gave an insight into the way print will look in the future.
Printed newspapers are going through the mill, Print21 reports on the latest developments, which include closures, and praise for their recycling efforts.
The New Zealand industry’s Pride of Print awards was a spectacular event, this issue of Print21 brings all the award winners and profiles on the leading jobs.
The issue is rounded out by regular columnists Kellie Northwood, with the results of the salary benchmarking survey, and Ruth Price on the value of training. And with our People in Print stories to finish the latest Print21 will give all print business owners and managers the relevant, credible, substantive information they need.
