LATEST PRINT21 MAGAZINE IN THE MAIL
The latest issue of the print industry’s favourite trade magazine Print21 is on its way to the owners and managers of print shops across Australia and New Zealand. It is also available online.
The September-October edition of Print21 is packed with informative features on a wide range of industry topics, written by experienced industry professionals, with major sections on wide-format printing and packaging printing. It also includes a host of diverse features on topics including promotional printing, sustainability, technology, online opportunities, business culture, and training.
All the regular expert columnists are in the issue, including Malcolm Auld on marketing, Wal Abramowicz on legal issues, and there are special features from PVCA CEO Kellie Northwood and PrintNZ CEO Ruth Cobb.
The cover pages of the September-October edition of Print21 are printed on a special stock, Colorplan Pristine White, supplied by Ball & Doggett, showing a fine example of what can be achieved by print businesses prepared to look outside the box. There is also a special eight-page centrefold pull out from Currie Group, highlighting its new deal to supply Canon wide format printing equipment in ANZ.
The cover story feature is on Colorplan from Ball & Doggett, looking at how print businesses offer more than commodity print. We also check out Ball & Doggett’s latest recycling options.
Not many businesses have grown faster than Easy Signs over the past few years, and not many have opened a US operation. The September-October Print21 has an in-depth interview with the duo behind the phenomenal story, charting the ups and downs over the past 15 or so years.
A major section on wide format printing opens with the growing applications, checks out the latest in cutting technologies shown at PacPrint, assesses the move by David Walton to buy the QMS wide-format businesses, highlights how wide-format recreated ancient Egypt, and shows how wide-format enhanced the remarkable story that was the Women’s World Cup.
Opportunities in promotional products printing are assessed, and the packaging section covers both folding carton and can printing. Our regular Sustainability section features the moves by the country’s biggest print fulfilment business Prima to be 100 per cent carbon neutral.
Technology in this issue is six of the best SRA3 digital colour print systems, and an inkjet printer just installed at Pegasus. Kwik Kopy’s move to implement online design is examined, while Smartech’s chief people and culture officer explains how to create a dynamic business culture.
The September-October issue is rounded out by the regular expert columnists, news from the associations, and People in Print, which highlights all the movers and shakers inaction since the last edition.
Wayne Robinson, editor of Print21, said, “A huge amount of thought, effort, insight and expertise goes into each issue of Print21 magazine, which is the reason it is the nation’s number one print trade title, it provides real value. Always a pleasure to see the latest issue go out to the industry.”
