MIMAKI LAUNCHES NEW PRINT SYSTEMS
Sign and display print systems developer Mimaki is releasing a new entry level printer, a new wide DTF system, a new smaller size flatbed printer, and a new hybrid fabric printer.
The new CJV200 series is an entry level printer, and comes with eco-friendly cardboard ink cartridges. The new 1.6m wide TxF300-1600 DTF printer is designed to enable print business owners to enter new textile markets. The new 1.2x1.3m flatbed JFX200-1213EX is aimed at commercial printers looking to print onto rigid stock, including braille.
All three new print systems are on display at the Mimaki showrooms. Mimaki has also released a new hybrid 3.2m fabric printer, which will print both dye sublimation and DTF.
Kohei Kobayashi, managing director of Mimaki ANZ, said, “With a rich heritage of technological innovation, Mimaki is bringing products to the market that will enable print service providers to expand their applications and markets.
“The new printers are all based on Mimaki’s engineering excellence, with the latest technological developments to enable consistent high quality printing.”
Designed to address the challenges faced by new operators and business owners, the CJV200-160 eco-solvent printer series combines what Mimaki says is “exceptional image quality, with unparalleled ease of use.” It is powered by a single printhead from its flagship 330 Engine. The CJV200 will be available from next month.
Kobayashi said, “We’re also excited to introduce the new GBL-free eco-solvent ink, SS22, which complies with the latest global regulations and offers enhanced safety. Packaged in an eco-friendly, non-plastic paper cartridge, SS22 is the perfect partner for businesses looking to make a sustainable entry into the printing world.”
GBL - Gamma-Butyrolactone - is a solvent found in many familiar products, and is now being strictly regulated worldwide.
The new JFX200-1213EX is a UV-curable flatbed inkjet printer, which offers a new table size of 1,270 x 1,300mm, compatible with international A0 standards. Kobayashi said, “This makes it ideal for producing poster-sized sign graphics. One of its standout features is its ability to print Braille and pictorial signs at double the speed of conventional printers, setting a new benchmark for productivity.”
The new flatbed printer will be available from January. Mimaki also has a new flatbed cutter, the CFX, which is also a router, and comes in a 2.5m width with options of 1.3m, 2.5m or 3.1m lengths.
The new DTF TxF300-1600 builds on Mimaki’s 30cm and 75cm DTF systems, and has been designed to enable print businesses to pursue new market opportunities in fabrics, with a 1.6m print width.
It is certified safe and eco-friendly with the Eco-Passport certification, while Mimaki says its DTF ink meets the “rigorous” standards required for Oeko-Tex certification.
The new TS330-3200DS is a versatile hybrid printer, that supports both direct-to-fabric and sublimation transfer printing, on media up to 3.2 meters wide, catering to the expanding demand for large-format interior fabrics. Mimaki says that with the global interior decoration market set to flourish through 2030, this printer is the “key to unlocking new opportunities” in creative, custom-designed textiles.
