Officeworks runs a sizeable printing operation from its nationwide operation, with at least 45 stores having in-house printing, and has the production hub taking care of a sizeable amount of print ordered online.

Fujifilm is the first authorised distributor for Vivid Laminating Technologies in the Asia Pacific region, specifically for the Australian market.

The VeloBlade Volta digital cutting tables range is available in 2mm and up to 10mm cut depths.

The order from Officeworks came just days after Fujifilm and Vivid signed the new distribution agreement. Fujifilm said the new partnership came as it recognised an opportunity to enhance its cutsheet finisher portfolio by addressing a market gap for digital die-cutting solutions, as customers increasingly look for more cost-effective solutions for a broader range of applications.

Yoshitaka Nakamura, senior general manager, Head of Oceania, Graphic Communications, Fujifilm, said: “The rise in demand for packaging applications, particularly for short-run and bespoke solutions, presented an exciting opportunity for Fujifilm to strengthen our finishing portfolio.

“Vivid’s reputation as a trusted innovator in laminating and print finishing technologies, combined with its competitive pricing structure, made it an ideal partner for our market. Its product range ideally complements our solutions, enabling us to deliver high-value print and finishing capabilities to our customers across Australia. We are thrilled to embark on this journey with Vivid to support the dynamic needs of the packaging and printing industry.”
