OFFICEWORKS ROLLS OUT SAME DAY PRINTING
Officeworks has launched a Same Day Printing service at 45 of its stores across Australia, with the service powered by 45 newly installed Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 printers.
The order for 45 of the digital full-colour AccurioPress C4080 printers is the biggest ever taken by Konica Minolta in the two decades it has been operating in the Australian commercial print market.
The Officeworks Same Day Printing range includes flyers, business cards, brochures, menus and greeting cards, as well as event stationery such as invitations and RSVP cards, table numbers, place cards and thank you cards.
The service means customers who order online or in store by 2pm can pick up their printing that day at their nearest Same Day-enabled Officeworks store.
Same Day Printing is available in 17 Officeworks stores in Victoria, 13 in NSW, eight in Queensland, four in WA, two in SA and one each in Tasmania and the ACT. Officeworks has 168 outlets in total.
The versatile AccurioPress C4080 digital press now installed at the Officeworks stores across Australia can print up to 81 A4 pages per minute, and up to 45 A3 pages per minute. This digital printing is available in colour, or black and white, and prints at 3600 x 2400dpi.
The presses have been specified with the TU-510, a four-edge trimming unit that can trim, crease, and perforate, allowing for full-bleed finishing support for long sheets, booklets, direct mail, and offering a dedicated business card option. They also come with the IQ501 automated quality control, and GBC finishing equipment.
Andrew Cocker, general manager, Konica Minolta Australia, said, “The AccurioPress C4080 printer is the perfect digital press to help Officeworks deliver this customer-centric solution, it’s an all-in-one print manufacturing powerhouse. Its features ensure exceptional quality and fast turnaround times.
“It has been highly rewarding partnering with Officeworks to make this innovative, customer-first service possible.
“Combined with the Trimming Unit TU-510 and AccurioPro Flux software solution, Officeworks can do professional inline finishing, and make real-time automated quality adjustments, all without compromising on print quality.
“Officeworks also chose fully specified models to achieve maximum productivity, and to streamline print operations. This means they can offer customers more than ever before while being closely aligned with its current Click & Collect model.”
Michael Salt, head of merchandise – Print + Create, Officeworks, said, “At Officeworks, we understand that life and work are faster paced than ever and sometimes the deadline is today. With our Same Day Printing service, powered by Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C4080 printers, we’re better equipped than ever to help our customers stay ahead in business, work and life, without compromising on quality, convenience or price.”
According to Konica Minolta the AccurioPress C4080 was designed to help print businesses expand into new markets and “develop new revenue streams with agile digital production functionalities.” The company says this landmark deal with Officeworks further cements Konica Minolta’s status in the commercial print world. Cocker said, “Konica Minolta is committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and delivering exceptional value to partners and customers. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this service will have on businesses across Australia.”
The size of the deal helped propel account manager Elisabeth Mitchell to win the Salesperson of the Year Award at the annual Konica Minolta Sales Achievement Awards, with Andy Cocker praising her professionalism, relationship strength and ability to communicate opportunities to her clients.
Cocker himself won a Sales Achievement Award, for leading the Production Print team to its best ever annual result, driving the division to 26 per cent of total Konica Minolta hardware sales.
