600 exhibitors line up for Labelexpo in April
Some 600 exhibitors have confirmed their presence at the world’s largest event for the label and package printing industry, Labelexpo, which will take place at the end of April, in its traditional Brussels location.
Many of the companies taking part are first-time exhibitors, and as momentum builds for the show, trends are already beginning to emerge, with this edition set to see a major focus on digital launches from key digital players.
HP, Xeikon, Domino, Fujfilm, Konica Minolta, Epson, Durst and Canon are already confirmed to exhibit, showcasing their technology and collectively driving this demand for digital. Conventional label printing will also play a major part, with companies such as Omet, Mark Andy and Nilpeter also participating. Converting systems from the likes of Prati and ABG will be on show, as will embellishing from Kurz.
With the last Labelexpo Global taking place three years ago, this year’s outing will be strongly supported. Australians currently face major barriers getting into Belgium, with the country on the European red list, however this is expected to change well before April. And under the latest government plan, Kiwis will be allowed out of the country on 13 March, well in time for the show.
Labelexpo 2022 will spring into life from the 26 to 29 April, the organisers saying it will, “safely showcase the dynamic and diverse marketplace driving innovation across the industry.”
Lisa Milburn, managing director of Labelexpo Global Series, said: “Despite the pause on in-person shows caused by the global pandemic, the market-wide momentum building for Labelexpo Europe 2022 shows that the global label and packaging printing industry is still as vibrant as ever and is now bolstered by a renewed enthusiasm.
“Exhibitor participation is encouraging, not only in the number that are so keen to reconnect in person, but in the global calibre of press manufacturers, offering the industry a chance to reconnect and do business.”
Mirroring the quality of exhibitors at the show, Labelexpo Europe 2022 is set to host an international audience of printers, brand owners and designers owing to a new dedicated VIP Concierge Service. This along with the continued support of the world's leading printing associations, will bring leading label and package printing converters face-to-face with industry suppliers.
The organiser says there will be a new digital embellishment trail, master classes, and “other exciting features” planned.
Registration is now open, with discounted tickets of €60 per day available until 8 April.
