Durst to run own labels show next month
With war in the Ukraine, Covid and the global shipping crisis combining to cancel Labelexpo, digital print solutions developer Durst will run its own Labels week instead, on 26-29 April.
Together with AB Graphics, Actega, Avery Dennison, Fedrigoni, Omet, UPM Raflatac and other un-named companies, Durst is inviting label printers to an international in-house event from April 26 to 29 at Durst headquarters in northern Italy.
The company says converters, press representatives and “those interested in high-quality label production” will have the opportunity to experience the latest innovations from participating companies and the proven Tau RSC printer portfolio.
"After the cancellation of Labelexpo Europe 2022, we immediately agreed to still offer our existing and future customers the opportunity to experience live the full range of our globally well-established label printing solutions and all innovations during this time. That's why we are organising Durst Expo 2022: Label together with many industry-leading companies at Durst's headquarters in Brixen, Italy," said Martin Leitner, Durst product manager Label & Flexible Packaging.
Matt Ashman, CEO of Durst Oceania said, “It will be open to all, and I will be there."
Over three and a half days, the event will feature a varied program of Tau RSC live demonstrations, panel discussions, “inspiring” keynote speeches and presentations from participating companies and customers. The Italian coffee bar at the Durst Lounge also “provides a setting for an intense exchange of ideas in a relaxed atmosphere”.
The company says that “since the best ideas and projects are often born out of the box”, guided e-bike tours into the surrounding mountains and guided tours through the historic city center of Brixen with tastings of regional products round off the programme.
"The event is open to all label converters from around the world. We look forward to meeting you in the beautiful city of Brixen," adds Thomas Macina, global sales director Label & Flexible Packaging.
