LABELEXPO SHOWS PRESS RANGE
Labelexpo Americas 2024 showcased all of flexo, hybrid and digital press technologies, along with a wide range of finishing solutions, combining conventional and digital equipment and sustainable materials.
Spread across five halls in Chicago, and covering 17,000sqm of floor space, this year’s show themes focused on RFID technology, flexible packaging, sustainability and automation, with some 450 companies exhibiting.
A total of 12,215 label professionals attended the three-day show, coming from 73 countries including a few from Australia and New Zealand. International attendance increased by a third from the last edition. Further increases were seen across the board, with more converters and almost double the number of brand owners and designers in attendance for this edition.
End-to-end label and packaging lines were a feature of the show, which also included the dedicated FlexPack @ Labelexpo zone, highlighting flexible packaging opportunities for the label printing community.
Also featured was an RFID Experience (radio frequency identification). Attendees were given the opportunity to learn more about the growth of RFID, see live demonstrations of how smart labels are produced as well as understand how data is stored, tracked and managed.
The next Labelexpo Americas takes place in two years’ time, with Labelexpo Europe, the show heavily favoured by label printers from Australia and New Zealand, set to run in Barcelona for the first time next September.
