MCC installs milestone HP Indigo 6K
MCC has installed an HP Indigo 6K, which marks 2000 active installs from the Series 3 range for the digital press manufacturer.
Headquartered in Chicago with a workforce of 13,000 specialist printing leaders, MCC has added the HP Indigo 6K narrow web digital label and packaging press to its existing fleet.
The HP Indigo 6K produces pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, IML laminate tubes, and more, and according to HP, continues to be the backbone of global digital label printing, accounting for 69 per cent of digital label production, as cited in IT Strategy Digital Production Label Market 6/2021.
The mix of extended application range, colour and workflow automation broadens the horizon for those looking to extend their productivity and profitability, says the company.
"MCC is privileged to have worked with HP Indigo for more than 20 years. Over the last few years, with Beta testing and innovation, we have found HP to be a great collaborator that has supported us to achieve massive company growth. Any expansion with our applications and our offers to customers relies on this relationship and HP has proven to go above and beyond in its approach," said Dieter Maes, VP Global Marketing & Sales at MCC.
Haim Levit, HP Indigo's senior VP and GM, said, "Brands are increasingly demanding higher personalisation and more agile supply chains. Coupled with the massive growth of small businesses, orders are increasing as converters continue to differentiate themselves and provide new, bespoke and creative solutions. With the HP Indigo 6K our customers additionally cut job set-up media waste by around 80 per cent, accumulating tens of thousands of square metres saved every month per press.
"MCC, a valued collaborator and a highly technical specialist print provider, has continued its labels journey with us by adding the HP Indigo 6K Digital press to its fleet. The Series 3 range, incorporating 6K and 8K models, provides our customers with the means to deliver more applications at high colour quality. It also provides a platform for the team to continue outgrowing the market through its digital transformation," he added.
HP Indigo printing technology is supplied in ANZ by Currie Group. On its stand at PacPrint, running from 28 June to 1 July at the MCEC in Melbourne, Currie Group will showcase the latest model, a seven-colour HP Indigo 6K Digital Press, showing a range of new ink sets and applications.
