Advance Press swept into pole position in the WA PICAs, scooping a dozen medals, including seven of the 13 golds awarded at a glamorous evening, which saw 100 WA printers rock up to the brand new QT Perth in the CBD.
Discus on Demand took three golds, Quality Press two, with Multi-Color picking up the final gold. All gold winning entries will now go forward to the National Print Awards, being held on the Thursday evening of PrintEx next month, 15 August.
Presenting Partner was Media Super, with Bronze Sponsor Epson Australia, and Patron Ball & Doggett. Matthew Schembri, finance manager of the PIAA, opened the event with a warm welcome. Presenting partner Media Super representative Patrick Horneman spoke briefly, welcoming and congratulating all medallists.
Anthony Pittaway, Board Member of the PIAA, hosted what he hailed as a successful evening.
“We are delighted to have hosted this prestigious awards evening, which recognises the spectacular successes of the best print, and visual communications professionals in Western Australia,” he said. “The evening was well received by the attendees.”
At the end of the formal festivities the attendees, winners, and supporters moved to the rooftop bar to finish the night with a celebration of the hard work, high standards, and quality works produced by print businesses in Western Australia.
