Barry Grant, former Anitech marketing director, is ramping up Neopost Australia’s sign and display portfolio standing after being appointed as the company’s Australian national manager for sign and display solutions.
Grant (pictured), who made his name at Anitech where he served for many years as general manager and marketing director, came into the new position at the end of June with the task of making GBC Neopost a force in the sign and display industry.
Neopost, which acquired GBC-Fordigraph (GBC Australia) in 2011 and formed GBC Neopost (Australia), has undergone a change of market presence over past few months, following its acquisition of Laidlaw Australia in Western Australia last year, and its appointment as a local distributor for Epson.
Now, with Grant on board as Neopost Australia’s new national manager for Sign and Display, the company hopes to build up its footprint in the sign and display market.
The company concedes it has long sought to become a major force in the sign and display sector and it is now looking to Grant – and his extensive industry connections – to drive this commitment.
Neopost Australia, which employs around 180 staff in its branches in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth, had a strong presence at the last PacPrint13 in Melbourne earlier this year, with an extensive display of Epson, Canon and HP equipment; and of course its range of finishing equipment, namely the addition of the GBC Titan 1264WF wide format laminator to its evolving product portfolio.
Neopost says it will have a strong presence at the upcoming Visual Impact show at Homebush in September and Grant will man the stand to promote Epson, Canon and HP machinery and the rest of the Neopost agencies.
Grant’s June appointment to Neopost Australia follows his departure last December from Anitech, which underwent a structural shift after the company’s former service division manager, Stephen Pratt, stepped in as CEO replacing former chief, Chris Wagstaff, who passed away early last year.
