Konica Minolta's bizhub PRO 1100 won the Outstanding Monochrome Light Production Device category at the annual Buyer’s Laboratory LLC (BLI) awards.
“The unparalleled degree of image quality control lets operators enhance output to meet most any need," says David Sweetnam, BLI’s Director of Research and Lab Services. In a press release, Konica Minolta Australia said it was 'extremely proud' of the award.
“The Konica Minolta bizhub PRO 1100 has proven pedigree, with the highest reliability and print quality, that makes it the best choice for monochrome production printing," says Anthony Lewis, GM of Specialist Print, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia. “This newly developed system design has been based on continual feedback from our professional print customers to better facilitate the required functionality and capabilities to excel in producing print."
The bizhub PRO 1100 offers maximum productivity with minimal user intervention, with expected average volumes of between 150,000 and 300,000 prints and peaks up to 2.2 million prints per month. The bizhub PRO 1100 runs at speeds of up to 100 ppm, and is designed to easily manage a heavy print work load with the availability of the Tandem printing functionality.
“The unparalleled degree of image quality control lets operators enhance output to meet the expectation of high quality print output," says Lewis. "In fact, the device earned BLI’s 5-Star status for its ability to produce fine lines, fonts, solids and halftones under optimal settings. And, with media support up to 300 gsm from all drawers, the device also offers a degree of media handling flexibility above and beyond many of its competitors.”
Canon's imagePRESS C850 (pictured) won the BLI award for Outstanding Color Light Production Device.
“The Canon imagePRESS C850 delivers superior output and powerful job management capabilities in a small footprint,” says Pete Emory, BLI’s director of U.S./Asia Research and Lab Services. “Image quality was equally outstanding on coated and uncoated stocks, and even with textured paper and envelopes."
BLI is a leading US-based independent authority in the document imaging industry.
