In recognition of his talents, Boardman takes home a Canon professional imaging kit valued at over $20,000. Speaking during the awards dinner at Brisbane’s Photo Imaging World exhibition, Boardman identified the prize as a milestone in his career.

“Our craft shows people a different way of looking at the world, another way of perceiving what's around them,” he said. “My photos this year were about built landscapes worldwide, about man's achievements that we see everyday and consider ordinary.”

Canon Australia imaging marketing manager Stuart Poignand claims this year's awards highlight the soaring levels of quality, creativity and innovation present in Australian professional photography. “As a community we should be inspired by the work of these photographers,” he says.
