CanPrint Communications claims first installation in the ACT of Oce VarioPrint 6320.

CanPrint is a member of the PE-backed Opus Print Group. The Océ VarioPrint 6320 joins a digital fleet at CanPrint, comprising an Océ VarioStream web-fed press, an Océ VarioStream 2110, an Océ 9160 and two Océ CS650 colour printers.

The new press is now printing up to 1.5 million impressions a month and is equipped with a BLM bookletmaker to handle short run books and manuals. Managing director of CanPrint, David Daniel, (pictured) said that the new perfecting press vastly expands the capabilities of the company’s digital division in the face of growing demand.

“More than 90 per cent of CanPrint’s black and white cut sheet output is double-sided, so the Océ VarioPrint 6320, with its ability to print instant duplex, was an obvious fit into our line-up,” he said.

Daniel added that the press complements CanPrint’s existing equipment. “The new press was also a natural match for us given our preference for Océ equipment across the group, and it also fits in well with its best-in-class speed and quality of output, particularly in printing halftones,” he said.

“As we print a significant amount of work for the Federal Government, the quality of our output is crucial to our operation. In this regard we have found Océ equipment to be the best on the market.”
