Sydney's Dashing Print has become the 500th Currie Group customer to complete a course through Currie's Training Centre.

Currie Group representatives, including owner David Currie, training manager Dayne Theron, sales and marketing director Phil Rennell, ANZ service manager Marcus Robinson, and NSW/ACT state manager Richard Watson, presented Dashing's HP Indigo coordinator Matt Boyden with an award to mark the milestone at the printer's plant in Lane Cove West.

"I was really honoured and very privileged to be the recipient of the 500th training course given by Currie Group," Boyden said, standing in front of Dashing's brand-new HP Indigo 10000. "I know that HP have been running these courses overseas for a long time, and it's a testament to Currie Group's relationship with HP that they would take the time and effort to service the growing Asia-Pacific and Japan market in this way."

Along with the certificate and plaque, Boyden will receive a trip to Melbourne for level two training at Currie Group's Training Centre. "Currie Group has put quite a bit of money into the Training Centre," said Dayne Theron, training manager at Currie Group. "We have three Indigo presses down there, covering series two, three and four, set up especially for operator training. We also cover production specialist training, ink mixing, and various other operator-related training."

David Currie, executive chairman of Currie Group, says the supplier has been proud to work closely with Dashing Print for the last four years. "It's been a great journey, and we now have a very strong relationship with Dashing Print. There have been massive changes in their operations since we started working closely with them, and we're proud to be associated with one of the most progressive businesses in the industry.

"They're not just a printing house - they're great communicators as well," he said.
