Bernie Robinson, managing director, sends a big vote of thanks to all the Currie Group customers, and the other industry professionals, who came to visit the mobile showroom this week at Osborne Park.

“We had a great turnout, with more 28 companies and over 50 individuals visiting over the three days. The Western Australian industry showed a lot of interest in the equipment we were showcasing and we were able to demonstrate to them some of the opportunities to develop their businesses using the latest technology,” said Robinson.

It’s been 18 months since the iconic truck last crossed the Nullarbor and a lot has changed in that time. Improvements to the HP Indigo presses as well as advances in the integration of Horizon and Daeho finishing kit for digital production means there were plenty of new possibilities to explore.

“I think the customers appreciate us bringing the equipment to them and we certainly enjoy the opportunity to engage and explain what is now possible. We’ll certainly be back again,” said Robinson.

With mission accomplished, driver Glenn Dunnett now turns the truck eastwards for the long journey back to Melbourne. Next year the Currie mobile showroom has a full schedule and is likely to be coming to a venue near you. Stay tuned.

This time around the Currie mobile showroom showcased:

  • HP Indigo 3550 Digital Press

  • Horizon BQ-280 PUR Perfect Binder
