Digital pioneer Bill Wieners of US-based print company Digital Lizard will be the guest speaker at next month’s Dscoop roadshow in Australia and New Zealand.
Following on from a successful Dscoop event in Melbourne during PacPrint, the HP customer group has announced it is hitting the road in October with events in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.
Kelvin Gage, president of Dscoop Australia, says the group invited Wieners to speak at the roadshow after some members visited the Digital Lizard operation in Las Vegas earlier this year.
“We were so impressed with what Bill’s doing that we made the decision to have him come and share his experience with our members here. He’s a real innovator in this space.”
In his presentation, titled The Dollar is in the Data, Wieners will detail how his company utilizes data to personalise printing for visitors to Las Vegas, whether to the casinos or conventions.
Dscoop has also named Matt Mills, GM of award-winning Auckland digital printer Fuzed, as the new director of the relaunched Dscoop New Zealand.
