Doggett Paper turns a new page in South Australia
K.W. Doggett Fine Paper expands its business to the South Australian market.
As of 1 March, the business will have an office in the Adelaide suburb of Pooraka. K.W. Doggett Fine Paper already has offices across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, but managing director, Simon Doggett, said that the interstate expansion was proof of peoples' widespread trust in the company.
"Because we are a family-owned business that believes in strong relationships, we have received a lot of support," he said. "After researching the Adelaide market ... we felt that South Australian printers and paper specifiers would welcome an independently-owned and managed paper merchant offering."
The Adelaide branch will offer a range of coated, uncoated and specialty papers, including synthetics, self-adhesives and pre-cut labels. Making the move from Melbourne is Chris Jackson, who, as of February will take on the role of state manager, South Australia. "It's an excellent feeling and I'm looking forward to all the opportunities it will provide," he said.

Jackson has been employed with Doggetts for the past three years, where he made a lasting impression on the company for his work in the pre-cut label and self-adhesive business. Simon Doggett said that this initiative and sound business acumen demonstrated to the company that Jackson would make an ideal candidate for the role of state manager.
"Doggetts were keen to promote from within the company to ensure the current culture is instilled within the new branch operation," he said. "We've got a lot of confidence and faith in Chris building the business with us."
