Registration for the two concurrent print equipment auctions currently underway closes 5pm Monday, with the final auction day Tuesday.
The plant and equipment for a complete B1 printing operation is being auctioned, as the kit as Springvale, Vic, operation Dotprint is going under the hammer.
At the same time surplus plant from Cardboard Containers in Rosebery, NSW is also going up for auction, as the company merges with another Sydney print and packaging outfit.
A 1980s Roland 606 B1 offset press is a late addition to the 91 lots up for grabs,it has an unreserved price, and is expected to sell for less than $10,000. It was used in production up until December.
The lots also include a 1998 B1 Heidelberg CD 102-5, a five-colour automated 102 Carton Diameter (CD) offset press, with 199 million impressions. It currently has a $10,000 bid on it. THere are also three Heidelberg platens, which are currently under $2,000, $1750 and $250 bids. Finishing equipment includes two Polar guillotines, three Heidelberg cylinders,, two Muller-Martini saddles stitchers, and three MBO folders.
The Cardboard Containers auction sees a Bobst SP 900 E available for bids. It was manufactured in 1972, reconditioned and upgraded 2005. Also available is a Keck boxmaker, two Heidelberg cylinders and a 1973 Solna four-colour offset press.
