Building on a hugely successful showing at PrintEx, Fuji Xerox Australia has announced that it will ‘hit the road’ with the new DocuProof 1250 and DocuColor 6060 digital colour press for a national roadshow in July.

Accompanying the roadshow will be a continuation of Fuji Xerox Australia’s newest business development seminar, Profiting Through Digital, presented by Graphic Arts Industry Marketing Manager Brett Maishman.

The DocuProof 1250 and DocuColor 6060 will be shown live and in action in Perth on July 2, Adelaide on July 9, Canberra on July 23 and in Brisbane on July 30.

According to Fuji Xerox Australia’s Production Colour Manager Henryk Kraszewski, the roadshow is a reflection of the huge success and public interest that was shown towards the DocuProof 1250 and the DocuColor 6060 at the recent PrintEx exhibition.

“The interest shown towards the DocuProof 1250 was absolutely phenomenal,” said Kraszewski.

“We’ve even confirmed our first DocuProof 1250 order - at Melbourne book publishing giant Pearsons. The real advantage of the DocuProof 1250 is that our customers now have the ability to produce their own inhouse proofs to KPG’s trusted Matchprint standard at minimal cost, while also boosting their revenue potential by offering more services to their clients. It really creates a total win-win situation for our customers.”

“The new DocuColor 6060 also drew in a large crowd at PrintEx and is expected to draw in an even bigger crowd at the upcoming national roadshow. Bringing high quality digital colour printing to the forefront, the DocuColor 6060 ensures that today’s commercial, in-plant and quick printers can say yes to each and every job requested by their customers.”

One of those printers is Melbourne prepress house turned commercial print shop Typographical Services, who is confirmed as Fuji Xerox’s first DocuColor 6060 acquisition. The company will install the biggest brother of the DocuColor family of digital colour presses in early June.

According to Typographical Services’ Director Michael Berry, the company’s acquisition of the DocuColor 6060 fits in with Typographical Service’s strategy of expanding into a commercial print model and “cover all bases” by offering both digital and offset printing.

“About 18 months ago, Typographical Services recognised the need to expand out into the printing arena and the ever-increasing demand for short-run print jobs. The DocuColor 6060 gives us a vehicle to meet these two challenges head-on,” continued Berry.

“The quality of the colour coming off the DocuColor 6060 is unbelievable and the speed is very impressive. It also complements our existing digital and offset equipment well and will give us a lot of flexibility to tackle new applications and expand into new markets.”
