Installation of HP Indigo 7500 allows Group Momentum to make a move on offset-quality print.

According to David Minnett, (pictured) managing director, Group Momentum in Sydney, the company’s purchase of a new HP Indigo 7500 digital press would enable a more aggressive push into the traditional offset printing space.

“The lower cost of production for longer runs is one of the most significant benefits of this press. Combining the high speed of throughput and a reduction in labour costs, the HP Indigo 7500 dramatically closes the gap between digital and analogue printing. We have a solution now that will enable us to actively target longer runs, competitively,” he said.

Group Momentum has replaced its HP Indigo 5500 with the new press, which Minnett said would be used to print everything from annual reports to marketing collateral and web to print work, one of the growth areas for the company.

“Year on year, web to print is becoming increasingly more important to us in terms of the volume of work we receive,” he said. “It is definitely a growth area that we will continue to develop.”

In business since 1976, Group Momentum has evolved from a pre-press house into a digital communications company.

“The versatility and quality of the HP Indigo dovetails into our philosophy of providing clients with innovative, high quality, cost effective solutions to meet their communications needs,” Minnett added.
