Industry events postponed in wake of virus outbreak

Several industry events in China, including Sign China 2020, and APPPExpo have been postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

Sign China was to be held from 24 – 26 February at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. New dates for the events have not been announced.

Concurrent events that are also postponed include LED China, Entertainment Design Expo, Commercial Integration China, Digital Signage China, and Retail China.

A notice from Informa, the conference organiser, apologised for the postponement, saying they would “closely monitor” the development of the virus and maintain communication with government authorities to reschedule the dates of the exhibitions.

“At this critical moment of fighting against the Novel Coronavirus, may we join together more than ever to overcome all the difficulties!” the statement read.

APPPExpo was due to take place 4-7 March in Shanghai, it brings together a conglomeration of printing technologie sincluding for signage, diaply, textiles and commercial.

The big commercial print show, All in Print, is due to take place 12-16 October aklso in Shanghai, there is no word yet on whether it too will be postponed. Labelexpo China is scheduled for December.
