Last chance to buy packaging print opportunity tickets
Print businesses looking to move into packaging, or already in the sector and aiming to exploit new opportunities, have until midnight on Sunday to buy tickets for LIVE New Frontiers in Packaging Print.
The one day event – presented by Print21 and PKN Packaging News – is being held on Monday 12 August at the Monkey Baa in Darling Harbour, Sydney, and has a host of industry leaders presenting on emerging opportunities in packaging print.
They include brand owners, designers, technology developers, and printers who have moved into packaging. One of those is Matt Ellis, managing director in Luminar in Sydney, which used to be Avonlea Labels until Ellils rebranded and reoriented it to focus on digital flexible packaging.
Ellis said, “For smaller producers, having cash tied up in packaging is a drain on the business. Digital printing offers low minimum, on-demand ordering... while digital print's variable data capability provides agility and the opportunity for brand owners to promote special offers or limited editions with a quick turnaround.”
Ellis will join a Q&A panel to discuss next generation Aussie success stories in packaging print.
There will be a special on-the-day augmented reality demonstration, with a major snack brand from Campbell Arnott's. Produced by Dreemar, it will show printers how straightforward it is to offer AR to clients as part of the print proposition.
Event curator and publisher of Print21 and PKN Lindy Hughson said, “LIVE is going to be a value-packed day for print business owners and managers. It presents them with the opportunity to hear from the people who are buying and driving packaging print, and to engage directly with them.”
