New press and new location for book printer, Ligare NZ.

The business, which is part of Opus Print Group, has expanded its operation and moved to new premises at 235 Archers Road, Glenfield on Auckland’s north shore. The move coincides with the purchase of a new Roland 702 offset press which will complement Ligare’s existing digital and finishing operations.

According to Steven Spear, general manager of Ligare NZ, the new press puts the company in a good position in terms of speed and quality. “Ligare’s latest press purchase and premises upgrade strengthens the Opus Print Group’s printing and finishing capabilities now more than ever,” he said.

“This new press allows even greater flexibility in terms of offerings and pricing, and the ability to better serve the customers we have spent so many years working with.”

This is the second investment for Opus this year. Earlier, it announced the purchase of an HP Indigo 5500 and 7500, one of which went into Sydney and the other headed for COS Printers in Singapore.

“There are a couple of big events coming up this year,” CEO, Cliff Brigstocke said. “We will be having a big year, there’s no two ways about that and will continue gathering pace and leveraging off all business units.”
