In less than three weeks time, 23 October, PVCA (formerly PIAA) is hosting the second annual Print2Parliament! at Parliament House in Canberra, in partnership with Media Super, with tickets still available.

Gold winning National Print Award entries will be on display and a point of discussion during the evening, which gives printers the opportunity to engage face to face with politicians. Last year some 75 MPs and Senators were at the event.

PVCA says in addition its international judging panel - so far unnamed - for the National Print Awards will be in attendance on the night. This will give printers the chance to discuss the judging process and hear feedback on the winning entries.

The PVCA says the purpose of this event is to showcase the industry to Australia's politicians and policy makers. While displaying the winning entries from the National Print Awards it will be advocating for greater support for the industry.

The association says it wants nation's leaders to understand how critical the print industry is to the Australian economy, and how necessary targeted policy reform on energy, industrial relations and training is for it to flourish.

It makes the point that there is a print business in every federal electorate - across cities, suburbs and regions. Today the print industry employs tens of thousands of Australians and is the largest manufacturing employer in Australia. With an annual turnover of $7.4bn print is a powerful driver of our economy - a message it intends to share with the political leaders.

Ticket sales are available until Wednesday 16 October, book online at www.pvca.org.au
