More Sydney printers bite the dust
Sydney printers continue to suffer the blow of a contracting industry as Rainbow Printing fades away and Imatec Imaging enters liquidation.
Thirty-year-old family business, Rainbow Printing, based in Wetherill Park was wound up voluntarily on 3 June following an extraordinary general meeting of its members. It is believed that the company had a turnover of $2.2 million for the 2008 financial year.
Chris Wykes, from Lawler Partners, who is handling the liquidation, declined to comment.
More recently, North Sydney company, Imatec Imaging entered into liquidation on 2 July and appears to be inactive. Imatec Imaging had offices in North Sydney and Leederville. The digital trade house prided itself on being a one-stop shop for work ranging from large format to finishing and retouching. Frasers Insolvency Advisory are handling the case, and were also unavailable to comment at the time of going to press.
