When the Currie Group’s big pantech showroom rolled into the wood chopping arena at the Sydney showground it also showcased its new crew.

Karin Saal from HP Indigo in Israel and Gary Warby, the Group’s new HP Indigo sales and business development specialist were on hand to help show Sydney printers around. They are pictured below with Glenn Dunnet, driver, (2nd from left) and Paul Thompson, NSW manager Currie Group, (top step).

Karin is a factory-trained HP Indigo operator brought out to Australia to help Currie Group demonstrate the benefits of the technology. Newly arrived in the country she received a thorough appreciation in the size of the continent, accompanying the truck on its odyssey from Cairns to Canberra.

So far so good, she reckons, while more than one member of the team hope she’ll elect to stay after her initial period.

Also on hand was Gary Warby, originally from the UK, now based in Sydney. Garry is a HP Indigo veteran with special experience in talking to enterprise customers on the benefits of digital technology. He was with the truck in Sydney and Canberra to help with the influx of visitors looking to for demonstrations. He too was getting his first look at the Australian hinterland.

“It's good to meet the different printers and be able to explain the points of difference between ‘the Ferrari of digital print’ and the rest,” he said.

Of course, nothing can move without the work of Glenn Dunnet, who rejoices in the title – Logistics supervisor and truck driver. Glenn has clocked up thousands of kilometres around the country not only moving the showroom but also delivering HP Indigos to customers.

From Canberra the truck heads on to Wagga Wagga on Thursday before heading back to Melbourne.
