Local distributor, Product Distribution Australia (PDA) is overseeing the release of the new DYSS Apollo UV hybrid printer series into the Australian and New Zealand market, with the company touting the wide format release as a ‘game changer’ for the local graphic arts market.

The new DYSS Apollo UV hybrid series, which includes the UV GH 1600, the UV GH 2200 and the UV GH 2600, joins the ranks of PDA’s exiting DYSS print and cut solutions, which the company took on board in 2011, and offers a versatile range of print sizes, handling widths from 1600mm to 3200 mm.

Utilising Ricoh’s Gen4 head technology, the Apollo Hybrid UV printer has a drop volume range of 5 to 25 pl with grey scale and combinations of CMYK, white and clear.

PDA says the Apollo Hybrid UV printer meets the most demanding applications, including packaging prototypes, labels, high-end press-proofs, sign graphics, point-of-purchase signage, backlit displays, real estate signage and more.

The DYSS series’ precision indexed belt drive system is an easy to use printing system that suits shops that need the versatility of printing on roll media or rigid flatbed media with just one printer.

"I see in this machine the potential for the offset printer genuinely looking to this market to broaden their offering and increase their profit," says PDA's Warren Davey. "With a role-to-role and a flatbed option, this goes right down the centre of the spectrum of wide format production. This gives the flexibility to do both, to the greater extent."

To celebrate the Australian release of the DYSS UV Hybrid Printer Series, PDA is offering factory backed discounts and extended warranties at no extra cost for orders placed before June 30 2013. Call Warren Davey on 0467 528 356 to find out more.

According to PDA, DYSS is the only manufacturer in the world offering a truly integrated print and cut solution from a single supplier. These products allow users to enter or expand in the graphics POS, POP and signage print and cut markets at many levels.

The DYSS range covers rigid and flexible media, various ink types, many modes of colour printing and curing, including white, spot colour and selective varnish coating.
