PrintEx Forums set to educate
With daily themes, a Business@Breakfast session each morning, complemented by inspiring Market Stall applications showcase, and a packed program of masterclasses, panel sessions and workshops, the 2019 PrintEx Forum Series will be a compelling drawcard for visitors to the Sydney expo.
Each morning, a keynote address at a Business@Breakfast session will announce a daily theme, with a strong application focus, providing a platform from which to explore how trends, technologies and innovations impact on different market sectors. Outside the breakfast venue, daily Market Stalls will showcase applications, to illustrate the scope and diversity of what our industry can achieve and spark new ideas for the early-rising delegates.
Today the focus was be Retail, with renowned social scientist and author Dr Ross Honeywill revealing to Business@Breakfast attendees how customer attitudes and behaviours are changing, and demonstrating how to reach and motivate the consumers who offer the highest value potential.
Tiday also sees Masterclasses from industry legends Phil Taylor, former CEO of Franklin Web, and Bob Lockley, former CEO of Fairfax Media, who are sharing their stories and the lessons they’ve learned,
The day is concluding with a drawcard keynote presentation from international print industry identity, Deborah Corn – well known Print Media Centre Intergalactic Ambassador to the Printerverse and leader of #GirlsWhoPrint – will reveal what print customers don’t know - and how it can kill your business.
Tomorrow Day 2 will feature a Food, Wine & Events theme, kicking off with a breakfast session looking at how options like personalisation and AR are creating new and exciting opportunities to connect, engage and inform via product packaging and labels.
Business sessions during the day will feature an expert panel discussing Event Activation, Rowena Curlewis, CEO of Denomination, looking at Global Packaging Trends, competitive strategy specialist Meqa Smith discussing how to gain The Enduring Edge that will allow your business to achieve its potential, and a session looking at how to design an AR & Personalisation solution, from designer to consumer.
On Day 3, Thursday, Quickar CEO Scott Browning will bring a different perspective to the day’s theme of Innovation by sharing his experience of disruption and transition in the automotive industry…and how the lessons learned can be applied to the strategic business thinking in other industries, like our own, which are experiencing similar transformation.
Following the breakfast, a panel of industry leaders including Matt Aitken, Deborah Burgess, Craig Dunsford, Lachlan Finch, Theo Pettaras and Peter Sinodinos will discuss the fourth revolution facing manufacturing, how each of them are responding, and how we can future proof the industry.
This will be followed by the hot topic of Energy, with a panel of energy experts, policy advisors and industry professionals looking at trends, technologies and policies which shape the sector, and how businesses can take control.
Sign, display and wide format professionals won’t want to miss the afternoon session, Innovations in the Signage Industry which will seek to identify new opportunities for growth – a topic which will be carried through to the final session for the day, Print – A Step Beyond, with researchers, manufacturers and new media specialists discussing how our knowledge, creativity and skill set can be applied to totally new opportunities in both the functional and virtual worlds.
Day 4, the final day of PrintEx, will look at the enormous opportunities in Government and Education, with a broader focus on building business through creative approaches and sales strategies.
The day starts with a dynamic Business@Breakfast session headlined by Happiness Hacker, Penny Locaso, who will challenge the busy epidemic with her alternative strategy of Intentional Adaptability – a skill she argues is vital to thriving in the age of exponential technology.
The morning session will feature Mark Roberts, General Manager of Mail Products at Australia Post, telling visitors about new and different opportunities to deliver value via mail, followed by a lunch time keynote from Pat McGrew, known best perhaps for her role as the host of PrintSampleTV, who will talk profitability with her presentation on Developing a Workflow Mindset: Picking up Money from the Production Floor.
After lunch, Deborah Corn is back with more wisdom from the Printerverse, helping visitors identify Three Ways to Create New Print Business in Unexpected Places. Pat McGrew will close out the day, and the show, with a practical session which to help businesses rethink the way they equip their sales team, with How to Create Print Samples that Sell.
Bringing this type of learning together with an exhibition in a B2B environment is a well-proven formula, with both exhibitor and visitor feedback from previous PrintEx, PacPrint, Visual Impact and international shows consistently rating trade shows highly for ROI.
Just two years ago, more than 10,000 industry professionals attended PrintEx’s sister expo, PacPrint17, in Melbourne, with 81.29 per cent giving the show a high or very high rating for satisfying the purpose of their visit – with looking for new products and keeping abreast of industry trends running neck and neck for the most important objective.
