PrintEx VIDEO: Currie Group shows off new HP Indigo
Currie Group is hosting an Australian-first HP Indigo demonstration on its stand at PrintEx, with the new B2 HP Indigo 12000 HD high-definition press.
The HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press has new print technology which effectively doubles the resolution to 1685dpi. Phil Rennell, sales and marketing director at Currie Group told Print21, "More than this, though, it has a series of different line screens which can be used in four, five, six or seven colours. It can produce a broader range of images, for instance for the photo realist market.
“The highlight of the HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press is that people will see the new high-definition image quality, the new FM screening – it’s the highest-quality digital printing press that there is,” he says. “Using the breakthrough high-definition imaging system, the press delivers the smoothest and sharpest prints in the industry, exceeding offset quality.”
The setup on the stand also features the Horizon SmartStacker, which is interfaced with the HP Indigo 12000 HD.
“We’re continuing our theme of automation, integrating our machine with the SmartStacker and perfect binder as a fully-automated workflow, but also removing as many touchpoints as we can from the operation,” says Rennell.
HP Indigo is a prominent feature on the Currie Group stand, with digital presses including the HP Indigo 7r in-line with a Horizon booklet-maker; the HP Indigo 6900 label press complemented by an ABG Digicon finishing line; and, most prominently,
Rennell said, "The HP Indigo 7r is here so we can show printers the benefits of investing in a remanufactured Indigo. The invetsment level is considerably lower than a new printer. It will provide a way in for many print business."
The HP Indigo 7r is being shown with an inline Horizon booklet maker.
