Five years of publishing a Sustainability Report earns Finsbury Green praise from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

At last week’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Sustainability Reporting 2008 Awards in Sydney, Finsbury Green was awarded winner of the Commendation – SME sector, for its 2008 Sustainability Report.

The ACCA is an international organisation that has promoted transparency in reporting the impact of business activities on sustainable development since 1991. Finsbury Green was one of 10 winners from 77 entries, the majority of which were large Australian corporations, to win this commendation.

According to Rodney Wade, (pictured) national environmental and technical manager, the ACCA awards represent the largest and most prestigious sustainability reporting review in Australian and New Zealand. “This award validates Finsbury Green as the acknowledged leader of sustainable practice in the Australian printing industry, adding its ninth environment/sustainability awards to its trophy cabinet,” he said.

The 2008 Sustainability Report is Finsbury Green's fifth to date. “We felt that it was really important to be a good example to our customers, suppliers and staff and so by publishing a fully audited report we were able to genuinely and honestly expose what we were doing to scrutiny,” Wade said.
