Print technology developer EFI has signed with Ricoh to make its newest Fiery digital front ends (DFE) available to drive Ricoh’s high-speed Pro C9100/C9110 production printer series.
"We are excited to bring to our customers the winning combination of our newest digital printers and robust Fiery technology," said John Fulena, vice president, Ricoh Production Print Business Group, Ricoh Americas Corporation.
"Fiery is the premier DFE platform for commercial digital print, and with Fiery E-43 and E-83 DFEs, we are offering RICOH Pro C9100 and C9110 owners expanded functionality and processing power, along with the flexibility to configure and scale digital print workflows based on specific requirements."
The RICOH high-speed print engine and the new Fiery DFEs, E-43 and E-83, have received Digital Press System Certification from Idealliance, offering users a rigorously tested and verified superior colour and image quality.
"EFI and Ricoh collaborated in the development of these DFEs to ensure seamless support for the new RICOH Pro C9100 and C9110,” according to John Henze, vice president of marketing, EFI Fiery. “And, on the Fiery E-83 DFE, we have also added the significantly faster processing capabilities of EFI Fiery HyperRIP, one of many capabilities that have continued to define Fiery DFEs as the market leader.”
It’s not yet clear when the Fiery DFE-driven Ricoh printer series will be available in Australia.
