Well-known, well-liked and well-respected industry professional, Bob Lamont, passed away last Friday after a long illness. Much admired by all who knew him his passing is a heavy loss for many in the industry. His funeral will be held at 1.00pm this Friday, October 4 at Macquarie Park, Sydney.
Bob’s passing was made known in an email by his widow Sue to his friends and forwarded by long-term friend and colleague, Greg Grace, to the printing industry, as follows… For so many of us, Bob was a mentor and life coach and his efforts over the past few years for the LIA were critical in the survival of the organisation. He had many good friends and colleagues in the printing industry and was a strong supporter of the Old Friends group. He was also very active in GAMAA and GASAA.
His funeral will be held this Friday afternoon at the Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium, Corner Delhi and Plassey Roads, North Ryde NSW. Details will be in this Wednesday's funeral notices. Sue has asked that anybody who would like to speak about their relationship or special experience with Bob would be very welcome to do so.
