Industry identity Rodd Harrison has joined EFI as its new vice president sales for the APAC region, which includes Australia and New Zealand.
Harrison will assume immediate responsibility for EFI's display graphics and software divisions. He will continue to be based in Singapore.
Speaking to Print21 this morning Harrison said, “EFI has a remarkable range of print solutions, in both hardware and software. It is a $142bn business opening new opportunities across a range of sectors including display print, textile print, packaging print, décor print, ceramic print. It is an exciting time to join the company as it leads the transition into digital.
“My initial focus is on enterprise software and display graphics, but this will broaden over time to cover the growing range of EFI solutions. EFI is a different business to others: innovation is its core, and it promotes a good life culture. It aims to be not only the supplier of choice but the employer of choice."
Harrison has spent his entire career in graphic arts, starting in the photo lab business and including two stints with Kodak totalling 18 years. He said, “I have talked to multiple people over the last couple of months, and became inspired about the prospect of joining EFI. It genuinely wants to help, support, and grow its customers.”
EFI is about to be acquired by Siris private equity in a $1.7bn deal.
