Seven HP Indigo installs so far this year for Currie Group
No slow down in the high-end press market as more printers make the digital decision to go HP Indigo.
2011 is shaping up as the best year ever for HP Indigo sales, according to Phillip Rennell, sales and marketing director at Currie group. The market is strong across the full range from cut-sheet to web-fed label presses.
"We’ve had so much interest in HP Indigo presses over the past few months that we’re expanding our sales and service number to keep up. It’s clear printers are recognising the Indigo as the superior digital press, and are not willing to compromise on quality” he said.
The star performer is the new HP Indigo 7500, which has raised the bar in productivity and quality since it made it debut last year. David Minnett’s Group Momentum in Sydney was the first to get the top of the range engine last year. Since then more than one a month have gone in, increasing the installed base in commercial printers throughout Australia.
The 7500 ‘digital powerhouse’ will be the “hit of the show” at PrintEx in May, which will also mark the ten-year anniversary of Currie Group and HP Indigo. ‘’The 7500 opens an unprecedented range of opportunities to print service providers,” said Rennell. “We expect to huge interest with the first time the Australian industry will see the press live at the show.”
This year’s success comes on top of a staggering five HP Indigo installs in December to finish the year with a bang!
The popular HP Indigo 5500 series continues to add to the Currie Group’s expanding number of installs in recent months. Clarke Murphy Print NSW has just installed its second 5500. The traditional offset family business first got into digital with the purchase of its first 5500 in October 2009. Other fans of the model include Ligare, part of Opus Print Group, and Melbourne Company Doculink both of which added the model to their portfolios.
The ongoing enthusiasm for the HP Indigo marquee from Currie Group extended to the industrial press market. Two WS6000 digital label presses with complete finishing solutions from Currie Group’s other strategic partner AB Graphic International demonstrate the growing need and acceptance of short run high quality digital labels.
Due to Currie Group’s exciting growth phase the company is now actively looking for professional HP Indigo Sales representatives and engineers to join the team all over Australia. Further details on job descriptions and applications can be found in our Jobs section and also on Currie Group’s website
Currie Group will occupy 180sqm at PrintEx in May with three fully operational HP Indigo’s accompanied by a complete range of finishing equipment and workflow management tools.
