Sharing the same DNA: The Fuji Xerox iGen 3 and Fuji Xerox Nuvera Digital Copier Printer
Delivering on quality, performance and offset migration opportunities.
With the Australian launch of the Fuji Xerox Nuvera 100 and 120 Digital Copier Printer and the Fuji Xerox iGen 3 digital colour press (right) next week, Fuji Xerox Australia has combined new technological advancements that offer the ability to migrate offset monochrome and four-colour work to digital with ‘equal’ quality output.
Much has been written about the long awaited Fuji Xerox iGen 3 digital colour press, including its up to 100 pages-per-minute print speed and print quality rivalling offset presses.
“Clients are demanding their applications such as books, newsletters and point-of-sale/direct-mail materials to be produced in full colour as quickly as possible, without sacrificing quality,” said Fuji Xerox Australia’s iGen3 Program Manager Henryk Kraszewski (pictured). “The iGen3 Digital Production Press is engineered to meet and often exceed those demands, and allows commercial print professionals to easily accept production jobs that they would normally have to turn down.”
Sharing the iGen3 heritage, the arrival of the Fuji Xerox Nuvera Digital Copier Printer showcases the first new products from Fuji Xerox to use iGen3 technology - with more product families to follow according to the Production Printing Systems Marketing Manager for Fuji Xerox Australia, Simon Lane.
“As a result of sharing the iGen3 technology, the Nuvera Digital Copier Printer offer 4800x600 dpi image quality, with 125 lines per inch half tone screens. The print quality is simply outstanding. In particular, the reproduction of grey scales, stipples and half-tones is stunning,” he explained.
The Nuvera products also share the iGen3’s Smart Press paper handling and imaging technology, enabling greater print productivity across stocks and run lengths.
Available in 100 and 120 A4 impressions per minute speeds, the new Nuvera can print at up to 72 A3 images per minute. “It will print on qualified stocks from 56-216gsm on bond, offset, carbonless, tabs, card stock, covers and recycled papers,” said Lane.
Kraszewski said the iGen3 ‘clean-sheet design’ that delivers so much to the Nuvera stems from the feedback Fuji Xerox received from both colour and black and white customers:
“We were told our customers wanted outstanding image quality, increased flexibility and greatly improved productivity,” he said. “We listened to our customers and developed a new, ground-up technology to address their specific needs.”
