Sign industry reeling as Adherettes goes under
The Melbourne sign industry is in shock as one of its leading lights hits the skids, with Adherettes going into liquidation this week.
The 63 year old busines is a leader in the field, often producing pioneering work for a range of clients from some of the country's most high profile companies, and is highly regarded across all sectors of the industry – clients, suppliers, and rivals.
It has been owned by the Ernst family since 1976, when Philip Ernst bought it from the original owners who started it 20 years earlier. Its current CEO is Mark Ernst.
The company operated from a 3,700sqm premises in Port Melbourne, and a range of highly specified equipment and skilled staff.
Liquidators are Andrew Yeo and Gess Rambaldi from accountants Pitcher Partners, Melbourne.
