TC PRINTING MERGES WITH CONLAY PRESS
Long established Melbourne print businesses TC Printing and Conlay Press are merging, with Conlay moving into the TC Printing premises.
Conlay owner Aaron Storer and a dozen staff have moved over to TC as part of the deal, and the Conlay Press brand is being retained within the business.
TC Printing is based in Scoresby and owned by Tom and Shant Cullu, the fourth generation to run the family business. TC prints offset, digital and wide format for the commercial, display, packaging, and promotional sectors. It has a ten-colour Heidelberg XL106 long perfector among its production kit, which also includes digital, wide format, and die cutting systems.
Storer said, “I have been in the business since I was six years old, and running it for the past decade. When I considered the options to move forward in the current climate, teaming up with TC Printing was a great fit. I have known Tom and Shant for many years, and always held them in the highest regard as printers and people.”
Conlay was established in 1975 and based in Braeside, with Aaron taking over from his father Mike Storer a decade ago as the third generation to run the business. A couple of years ago it won the highly-coveted contract to print official merchandise for the iconic green-and-gold Australian Made Campaign logo on everything from stickers and swing tags, to posters and banners.
Most of the Conlay kit is being sold off, including its five-colour Speedmaster 74 and its six-colour 102. Storer will take a digital press over to TC.
Storer said, “It is an exciting time, and we will be able to offer new services to our customers. I am loyal to them, and they are loyal to me. With the backing of TC Printing, we will be able to continue to serve them in the best possible way.”
