Video: LIVE panel focus on sustainability
One of the panel sessions at the upcoming LIVE New Frontiers in Packaging event, slated for a week on Monday, will focus on opportunities arising from the push to sustainability.

The sustainability session, the fourth of the day, will have Brooke Donnelly, CEO of Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), presenting on the Australian packaging industry's journey towards meeting the 2025 National Packaging Targets.
That will be followed by a sustainability panel session in Q&A format, with Donnelly joining industry leaders including Jack Malki, CEO, Jet Technologies; David Martin, CEO Spicers; and award-winning print and packaging pioneers Fred Soar, managing director of Soar Print, and Aleks Lajovic, managing director of Impact International.

Event curator and publisher of Print21 and PKN Lindy Hughson said, “LIVE is going to be a value-packed day for print business owners and managers. It presents them with the opportunity to hear from the people who are buying and driving packaging print, and to engage directly with them.”
The full day event kicks off with a welcome at 8.45am, then at 9am with an overview of current design directions for designers and printers, with speakers from three companies at the forefront of the industry: Hulsbosch, Schawk, and Harcus Design.
The second session starting at 11am focuses on the role printed packaging takes in driving consumer engagement. Personalised beverage solutions suppliers Brewtopia/Labelmakers; major brand owner Campbell Arnott's; and augmented reality developer Dreemar will be presenting, with the latter demonstrating an on-the-day AR experience and app developed especially for the LIVE event in collaboration with Campbell Arnott's.
The after-lunch session highlights brand protection, data collection and the digitisation of packaging, with presenters from Tetra Pak, HP, Matthews, and Kodak.
Following afternoon tea, the fourth session examines the impact of sustainability awareness on packaging, and the opportunities it presents,
The final session of the day features two next generation print leaders who are taking their businesses into packaging: Matt Ellis of Luminar, and Aaron Lusch of Platypus Print Packaging.
Following the final session, there will be a drinks and networking session, winding up around 6pm.
